Meet the Horses
Doodle
Doodle is a 5 year old Irish Draft who stands at around 17.1 and is a firm favourite. He loves to jump and is ridden in a snaffle, you will often see him at the front of the pack with the hunt-masters!
Freddie
Freddie is a jumping machine. At only 6 years old and 16.2hh he is a perfect ladies (or gents) ride. He will happily sit at the back of the field and is very soft-mouthed.
Tommy
Tommy is one of the older boys at 18 years old. He is a 16.2 ex-racer who has a need for speed and jumping. A real gentleman on the ground and ridden, perfect for anyone. He is now retired from hunting but is enjoying team chasing and fun rides.
Sailor
Sailor is a real looker in the hunting field. He is a keen jumper and at only 6 years old and 16.1hh he is proving to be a very well-rounded horse. He is ideal for a forward adult or strong child due to his size and temperament.
Bingo
Bingo has proved himself to be a safe and steady type - not phased by anything. He is ideal for anyone to ride as he has a gentle mouth and comfortable canter. Bingo has a great jump and a turn of speed but will also happily sit at the back!
Max
Max is a 16.3, 6 year old horse. He is a pleasure to have on the yard, a real gentleman. He is a lovely ride, not too strong but still forward. Max also loves his jumping! He is anyone’s ride.
Guy
Guy is a real looker. He is a keen jumper and a forward horse. He would be ideal for a thruster or someone who enjoys speed. He is a pleasure to ride and is a kind horse in general.
Eddie
Eddie is a favourite within the hunting community having been out hundreds of times. He is a bold jumper, loves to be upfront and is always ready to go. He is ideal for a brave jockey who wants to have a blast.
Nora
Nora is a 4 year old Irish Sports Horse. She is a newbie here so we are excited for her future. Nora is turning out to be a gentle, calm lady who is enjoyable to ride. She will have her first day hunting out with us before being available to hire.
Sprinkles
Sprinkles is the smallest horse we have here at the stables. She stands at around 15hh and is a pocket rocket. Sprinkles loves to jump, she is an experienced horse who is turning out to be a favourite here at Shropshire Horse Hirelings.
Roo
Roo is Katies personal horse, so you’re lucky if you get to ride her! She is currently in foal for this hunting season, which is very exciting so look out for news on her progress!
Clarke
Clarke is a strong, keen jumper. He is a firm favourite for those who want to jump everything as he knows his job. Although he can be strong he has a lovely temperament. Clarke stands around 16.3 and is an ISH.
Reggie
Reggie is a 17.3 6 year old import from Ireland. He is one of the biggest horses we have here at Shropshire Horse Hirelings. He is an ideal mans hunter due to his size but can also be ridden by anyone due to his lovely temperament.
Cosmo
Cosmo is a 5 year old 14.2 pony. He is a dream boat! Cosmo is lovely to ride, not strong or silly but enjoys his job. He is the perfect pony for a small adult or a child wanting to go hunting / fun riding. He has attended pony club and behaved impeccably - a joy to ride.
